I would like to share with you an interesting experience: last week I was invited with my colleagues Francesca and Giulia, to visit Ca´Rainene, a Boutique Olive Farm located in Torri del Benaco, only 200 meters far from our Residence Ca del Lago.
The Olive Farm was founded about 25 years ago by Paolo Bonomelli and now it is among the most prestigious olive oil producers in the world. The Ca Rainene Extra Virgin Olive Oil has been awarded by the most qualified opinion leaders, guides and international competitions. Just to mention some of them: FlosOlei, Slow Food, Gambero Rosso.
Since this year the Farm has been opened to visitors, by arranging guided tours along the centuries olive groves, and in the modern Oil Mill.
The tour is followed by the Extra Virgin Oil Tasting, where it is possible to appreciate the features and the peculiarities that characterize the different oils produced in the farm, such as Drizzar, Garda, Classico, or the famous TreFort. In particular, this last one derives from the two precious varieties Trep and Fort, natives of the eastern shore of Lake Garda recovered and enhanced by Paolo Bonomelli in recent years.
It is also possible to arrange a “Complete Exclusive Tasting Experience”, which includes a private light buffet with a selection of local food and wines, and vegetables grown in the farm.
