From Friday 7th of June to Sunday 9th will take the 16th edition of the Affi Medieval Festival, may be the best medieval festival of the Garda Lake area.
The town is once again pervaded by the ancient atmosphere of the Middle Ages. The village is animated with old trade, crafts and domestic activities. Numerous events re-evoking the old splendor are scheduled including tournament, parades and shows.
Processions of musicians and drummers will inaugurate the event on Friday evening, accompanied by jesters who sing ancient tales of courtly events.
On Saturday, the old town is alive with blacksmiths, beat nails and cobblers, potters, laundresses, cooks, dyers, musicians, jugglers, swindlers and armigers.
Archery competitions and chivalry demonstrations of medieval sword bring visitors back in time to the succession of dances in costume that will cheer the evening banquet of the ladies and gentlemen.
An entire medieval day will kick off on Sunday morning with camps horseback and arms, until the procession escorted by flag bearers and musicians who will introduce the evening show.
The festival is open to all propose delicious menu in the various food stands prepared for the occasion and in the many corners of the taste that will accompany the three days. A celebration of the beginning of summer do not miss to experience the atmosphere of medieval life!
