I would like to inform you about a nice event that will take place on Sunday 17th September in Torri del Benaco: the Benaco Run.

It deals with the second edition of this non-competitive foot race on the hills around lake Garda.

Meeting Point is at the Castle Park at 7.00 am. Departure at 8.30. (subscriptions are open until 8.00)

You can choose among 3 tracks of different length: 7km, 14 km or 21 km.

The shortest tour, 7 km long, suits for people of every age, and also for families with children and strollers,

while the longer ones are recommended for more trained people.

Anyway all of them, from the easiest to the more challenging, will get you along nice paths in the nature, with amazing views of the Lake.

Finally, we remind you that the Benaco Run is dog friendly: our four-legged friends are welcome!

what about exploring Lake Garda in a green way?

Residence Ca´ del lago adheres to the project Garda Green, aimed to the promotion of a “green” tourism on Lake Garda.

Besides our city bicycles that you can rent for free, the new e-bikes represent another good chance to discover the area, by respecting the nature and reduce pollution.

At the moment we have 2 e-bikes at disposal. They have an operating time of 100 km. On the eastern coast of Lake Garda you will find charging points in every town.

From Friday 14th to Sunday 16th July do not miss the Festival of Colours, that will take place in the Castle Park in Torri del Benaco.
The event is based on the ancient Indian Holi Day, better known as Festival of Joy, Love and Colours.

During this special day people of every age have fun together by throwing to each other coloured dust.
Buy your colored kit and dust in the festival area and plunge into this magic atmosphere.

On Saturday there will be sport tournaments such as soapy football and green volley.

Every day will be animated by live music and gastronomic trucks: funny campers or  buses transformed in draught beer dispenser or street food stands.

I would like to recommend you a nice tour in the upper Lake Garda: the Busatte- Tempesta trail.

It deals of an easy panoramic tour that follows the shores of the Northern Lake Garda from Torbole to Tempesta, famous for the spectacular metal ladders which make it possible to get past the steepest sections and the wonderful views all along the trail.

Starting point of the tour is the small locality of Busatte above the village of Torbole. The foot path runs at the foot of Mount Baldo about 120 metres above the water surface of the lake, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation.The trail includes two sections with stairs and railings bolted onto the rocks. Once arrived in the village of Tempesta you can walk back to Busatte or take the bus back to Torbole.

The round tour Busatte-Tempesta-Busatte is approximately 11 kms long (approx. 3 hours walking time), and it is suitable for families with kids too, although it is not accessible for prams because of the stairs sections.

Springtime invites to open-air activities: what is better than discovering Torri del Benaco and surroundings by strolling through olive gardens and old villages?

Residence Ca del Lago is a good starting point for walking excursions in the hills. You can visit the old hamlet of Crero, or walk up until Albisano. Another nice tour will get you along a panoramic route until the rock engravings of Monte Luppia and to San Vigilio, the nice peninsula situated between Garda and Torri del Benaco. You will find also a cafe there, where you can have a drink and relax in the little and picturesque harbour.
